I tested out my new miniatures app on the way to the coffee shop.

1.7 miles from our chalet to New Glarus Brewery –  it has one of the most beautiful beer gardens we have ever been to. We enjoyed a pint with some great friends, and did the self-guided brewer tour.  Our great friends drove us home (thank goodness!)

A well deserved off day.  We played mini golf, and took in the sights and sounds of the Taste of New Glarus Fest. We ended the day with a couple pizzas and beer at Sugar River Pizza.

48 (HILLY) miles from Madison, WI to New Glarus, WI. The Southwest commuter Path out of Madison is beautiful, well signed and maintained. After a stop in Paoli, WI. for ice cream we made it to our room at Chalet Landhaus in New Glarus, WI.

37 miles from Lake Mills, WI. to Madison, WI. most of it was on the Glacial Drumlin bike trail.   Then we hit the Madison trail system and after with a couple missed turns, and a short trip on a highway we had no business being on with our bikes, we got to Ale Asylem Brewery. After a great lunch and a good conversation with the bartender and one of the locals sitting at the pub we were off to Karben4 Brewery for a pre dinner drink.

It has been a great week of racing so far but this Saturday is the crown jewel in Wisconsin Cycling.This Saturday is the the Downer Classic which is the biggest one lap pay out in all of Professional Cycling and is a really good time!  A beautiful 65 mile ride from Milwaukee, WI to Lake Mills, WI along the Glacial Drumlin State Trail. We had a great lunch at MAMA D’s in Wales, WI. and ended the day with a flight of beer at Tyranena Brewery.
