This year marks for 5th Turkey Trot. This year I did the Festival Foods, Turkey Trot at American Family Field.

It’s that time of year where I pretend to be a runner. I took park in Wild Workouts & Wellness Turkey Trot. I PR’ed the 5K w/ a run time of 32:55. Yes, I forgot to stop my watch at the finish line.

My back in feeling better so it’s time to start training for that 2020 COVID-19 Turkey Trot! Day one, mile 1  

It’s Race week and I think I’m ready! Day 1: Run 15 mins, walk 1 min. Repeat twice. Day 2: RACE DAY, Wild Workouts 5K Turkey Trot!!!!

Week number four is in the books and two weeks to go! Day 1: Run 9 mins, walk 1 min. Repeat 3 times. Day 2: Run 12 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat twice, then run for 5 mins. Day 3: Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat 3 times.

I’m on the back side of the hill and getting closer to race day! Day 1: Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat 3 times. Day 2: Run 10 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat twice, then run for 5 mins. Day 3: Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat 3 times.

I’m now at the HALF WAY POINT!!! Feeling good and going strong. Day 1: Run 7 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat 3 times. Day 2: Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat 3 times. Day 3: Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Repeat 3 times.

Training for this years Wild Workouts & Wellness Turkey Trot 5K has started. 7 weeks and ounting! This weekstraining is two 1 mile run/walks with a 3 min run and 1 min walk.

Today was Wild Workout and Wellness’ 13th annual 5k Thanksgiving day Turkey Trot. We got to run along the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan.
